Another racket involving the currency exchange of old currency notes with the new ones has been busted- this time in Visakhapatnam. The Andhra Pradesh police arrested ten employees of a private company. The arrested persons are the employees of Security Management Services (SSMS) and were responsible for loading cash into the ATMs of various banks in the city of Visakhapatnam. According to the Visakhapatnam police, the accused stole the new currency, particularly the new Rs 2000 notes, from the ATMs and exchanged them for the old notes. The accused used to get a commission to exchange the old notes. A similar gang was busted in Vijaywada on Thursday.
